removing all existing macros/projects from normal.dot

is there a way to do this programmatically? we're changing the way in which
our custom toolbars & macros items are deployed, and this approach to
removing the antiquated items would be less tedious, if it's available.

thanks!

Why can't you just delete it?
Word will create a new one from scratch.

genius - thank you for uncomplicating my life :)

Of course, I forgot to mention that if you have any Autotext entries they
will be deleted as well. In such a case, rename the old Normal.dot to
"something.dot". Restart Word and then transfer those autotext entries from
something.dot to either the new Normal.dot or to another global add-in. I
prefer the second alternative. I tend not to use Normal.dot for anything
long term, especially for my users.
