removing all Outlook data and folders

A

Agdam

I'm a happy new user of Outlook 2003.
My brave attempts to upload data from Outlook 2002, which I used on another
PC, only created 2 (at times 3) Personal Folders, which, of course, refuse to
be deleted because they contain Calendar, Contacts, etc.
Without a single swearing word (if you are willing to believe it) I went as
far as to reinstall the whole Office. But this certainly won't trick the
Microsoft geniuses - I get my Outlook back with exactly the same issue, i.e.
same two folders.
Could someone, please, be nice enough to let me know how to get a
clean-CLEAN new reinstallation of this marvel of software design (be it
Outlook only or the whole Office thing).
I really hope that I don’t have to reinstall entire system.

Import is bad - use file, open, outlook data file to add the old pst or
better yet, add it when the profile is created.

I'd be interested to know why import is "bad". Is there a better way to
move old PST file data into a new Unicode-capable PST file?

the best way is to open the pst in the profile and drag items to the new
pst - import is bad because it changes the modified date and extra things,
like custom views, are not moved in an import.
