Removing an Administrative Project from Timesheet view

Doug Schurman

I have an administrative project that had 40 people logging their time to it.
Now we have switched to another administrative project but I can't figure how
to get the project to not show up on everyone's timesheet. I still want the
project to be able to be viewed in things like portfolio analyzer. I tried
creating a custom field and setting a query on the timesheet view but it
appeared to have no effect. Any thoughts?

There's no way to hide an Administrative project from the user's timesheets.
Thus, you can't have it both ways. To remove it, you must save it as an
..mpp file for analysis and then delete it from the Project Server datatbase.
This means it won't be available in the Portfolio Analyzer any more. Sorry.

Doug,

Do you have access to project server database. If yes, I can walk you
through a query to remove the tasks from timesheet. Let me know.
