Removing an old web

P

PeterM

I have a web site using FP2003 w/FrontPage extensions on a hosted web site.

This web has gone through several different iterations. I've recently
republished a new web over the old webs. The problem is that while the new
web is being displayed, the remaining pages from previous webs are still out
on the site and the old pages show up when people crawl or search out site.

Is there a way to have FrontPage publish the new web and remove any
remaining pages/files from previous web? I don't want to delete them
manually because I'm afraid I'll remove files that I shouldn't.

any help would be appreciated!

Open the live/remote site directly in FP, then make sure you can see hidden folders, then delete
everything that you can from within FP, except the _private and the images folders, for these, just
delete any content that is within them.
