Removing Cached Email List

Matt

Hi,

When typing in email addresses in the 'to' field, outlook
brings up a box of possible contacts it will be as i'm
typing. this is fine although there are many that come up
that are now no longer valid, so my question is how to get
rid of these redundant ones..

many thanks

When the invalid entry comes up hit the Delete key to remove it from
the nickname cache.

I tried this, and it works as long as I have more than
one possibility, forcing Outlook to present with me the
possibilities.

How do I get rid of an address if it is the only
possibility offered? For instance, if I type in Scott,
and I know I don't want Scott's internet email address to
be in the cache anymore.

This leads us to ask how we can just edit the cache,
without having to do them on a onesy-twosey basis.

It's pretty much all or nothing. You can use Windows Explorer to find
a file with the extension .NK2 and delete that to clear all of the
suggestions. The folder the file is in may be hidden to set Windows
Explorer to show hidden or system folders.

Hi,

I found the message thread below, but did not see the
instructions for how to delete one or more of the
suggested name completions that is suggested, so that I
don't have to pick from the list over and over for those
I send mail to most frequently.

Could you provide the instructions? Or refer me to
someone who might.

Thank you,

Catherine
