Removing Characters

I have a column that is employees social security numbers, The ssn's ar
entered as 111-11-1111 the dashes are actually typed into the cell, an
the cells format is general. How can I remove the dashes from all o
the cells in that column

You should be able to use the Replace feature to get rid of them ....
Select Edit | Replace from the menu...

for Find what put a "-"
for Replace with, leave it blank
