removing code from document

I have a Word document that contains code in the
ThisDocument section. The code allows people within my
department to make changes and email the document between
one another (along with a few other minor functions).
However, at some point the document will need to be
emailed outside of our department. At that time, I need
the ability to email a copy of the plain word document
without any code. I want the code completely removed so
they do not receive the security message when they open
the doc (it is not possible to change our security
settings). The original document should remain intact,
with code, so it can still be used within the dept. Can
anyone nudge me in the best direction?
Thanks!

Hi There,

The easiest would probably to save as .rtf. The formatting will be
retained, but all other stuff will be stripped, i.e. VBA, passwords,
protection, etc.
