Removing code from final document

I've been working on a single letterhead template that customizes
itself for the various divisions. So far so good but I realized that
my code will stay in the final document. Is there a way to delete
macro code from the document?

If the code is in the template (and you've used a real .dot template, not
just a document that people duplicate) it won't propagate to the documents
created from it, and the problem doesn't arise.
