I am cleaning up my website of duplicate folders, files, etc.
Several questions:
1. Is there an easier way than what I have been doing -- selecting each file
in folder view -- checking out the hyperlinks and deleting those that do not
have a hyperlink going to the page. I am assuming that if no pages are being
linked to a page or file, I can delete it. Is there something else I need to
take into consideration?
2. I have some gif and jpg files that are in two separate folders -- they
each have hyperlinks going to them. My question -- if I move one to the same
folder as the other and say yes, replace -- will I lose the hyperlinks of the
one replaced? You may have answered this with the answer to question #1, but
is there a better way to delete the duplicates of these?
3. If I am doing #2 correctly and I will lose the hyperlinks of the gif or
jpg replaced, do I have to go to each page and link to the one I want to keep
and then delete the duplicate?
I tried to search to see if questions of this nature have been asked and
answered previously, but nothing came up.
