Removing Entourage 2008 breaks iCal syncing

I've had Entourage 2008 syncing with my Nokia N95 8Gb without problem.
I tried to uninstall Entourage by the unsophisticated method of
dragging it to trash. I transferred all the Entourage-created calendar
events to iCal calendars (manually, no small task...). However,
syncing of iCal events does not work from iCal to the Nokia. I tried
iSync's Reset all devices, and resyncing, but no joy. Contacts still
sync just fine, but calendar entries don't - is there anything I can
do to fix things up?

This question does not seem to be related to Entourage; you might want to
post your question on the Apple Support discussion groups. Entourage does
not interfere with calendar synch in iSync, so it looks like there is a
problem with iSync itself.
