removing frame

I don't know what I did but every time I open a new document I have to go to Format and delete frame. I used to not have to do this. How can I get rid of this frame permanently.This is what it looks like. ///////

Hi Vanessa -

You've somehow managed to save the "frame" into your Normal template - at
least that's the most likely cause. Not a big deal - see here:
