Removing group from Contacts Outlook 2007

Under my contacts I have created a group by mistake.
When I right click on this group, I have an option to remove the group.
When I do this, I get a message saying that the folder can't be removed and
to click on properties.
I am logged in as the adminstrator.

Are we to assume you mean a group in the Navigation Pane or something else?
What does this group contain? What happens when you follow the directions
the message gives you?
