Removing installed (unused) programs

Daniel

I like to keep my system updated. However I am not sure if I should remove
old/outdated system programs. For example, in the Add/Remove Programs window
I have NET. Framework 1.1 (with all updates), NET. Framework 2.0 service pack
one (with all updates), and NET. Framework 3.0 which I assume is the most
up-to-date and therefore is the installed and currently used NET. Framwork.

Do I really need to keep the other NET. Framework programs (1.1 and 2.0)?
Is it safe to delete/uninstall them?

Like Milly says, not an Office question, but you may have programs that
still need 1.1 or 2.0. Don't get too impatient to cause yourself some grief.
