Removing item from menu (it reappears)

Word 2000
Windows 98

After installing 8 Books of Stedman's Electronic Medical
Words, I have those items showing up twice in the drop
down menu under my Smartype heading. (During
installation -- it asked if I wanted a shortcut and I said
yes). I have removed it (customize window open-- drag
duplicate off) but when I restart Word -- it reappears. I
checked to see if some type of Macro was installed --
nothing there.

Can you help me remove the duplicate item.. permanently.

Hi Kmalie,

Take a look in the Word Startup directory and you will probably find a
template there that is being loaded everytime that you start Word.
