Removing Margin Guides

How do i remove the margin guides. They look like
registry guides and are "L" shaped with the corner
pointing toward the text. I have searched and searched
but no avail. please help, thank you

Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office Tools>Microsoft Office (XP) Language
Settings and disable any East Asian Languages appearing in the enabled
language window.
