Removing My Tasks

A project was completed and is 100%. The tasks are "closed for updates".
I have selected the tasks and and deleted within My Tasks but they remain
showing in "My Tasks"

How do i permantly remove?

Are you the project manager of this project? From your description, it
sounds like you are the PM. If so, you have made a huge mistake selecting
the completed tasks and clicking the Delete button. In doing so, this will
set a Delete Assignment Request back to your PM (I assume the PM is you) for
each deleted task. If the PM approves these Delete Assignment Requests. the
system will REMOVE YOU from the tasks in the Microsoft Project plan. This
is NOT what you want. Instead, the PM should Deny each of these Delete
Assignment Requests. He should then open the project in question, insert
the Publish column in any task View (such as the Gantt Chart view), set the
Publish value to No for each task, and then save and publish the project.
This will remove the tasks for that project from the My Tasks page for each
team member. Hope this helps.

Thank you!!

This worked well. Setting the publish field to NO will mange wheter to show
the tasks on teh my tasks page.

Why doesn't the script (macro) update the summary tasks to NO (understanding
they do not have resources assigned to them)

What happens if they are updated to NO? Dos it have an effect on anything
else?

btw... the macro worked well? How would you implement that on the server for
other PM's to use?
