Okay, this is a long shot (and assumes there's no
mathematical way to sanitize the data), but...
Create a data series that moves along closely with your
noisy data, either using an average or trend function of
some kind (not sure how your data is set up). This series
must then be "range-valued" (i.e., the data must be copies
and pasted as a value somewhere. Add this data series to
your graph. You can then click on each data point of the
graph (it requires a second click after having the series
selected) and move it around til you are satisfied that it
represents the "true" average.
