Removing numbering

Hi,

A naive question. I have put Numbering in a document using Insert - page
number feature. Now, i dont want the numbers. How do I remove the same?

View Header /Footer, select and delete. Be sure to delete the frame that
the number is in as well as the PAGE field.

Hi Suzanne and Daiya,

Thnx a lot for your help. I did not know what (/which) frame you were
referring to and deleted the page numbers only. After some time (a day or
two) when I opened the document I noticed single line at the header and
footer throughout the document. I had a hard time removing it (rather I
couldnt). When I printed the document the lines were also printed in the top
and bottom of each page. Then one of my friends suggested an ingenious idea
of selecting that line and making its font as white (we tried with "No Line"
option but it had not worked). And we could now in a way workaround the
same.

Is the line problem mentioned above happened due to not removing the Frame?

Presently based on Suzanne's link I have been able to understand the
frame --"Click on the border to display the frame's six black sizing
handles." -- was the clincher for me. I tried it on a dummy document and
could remove the frame.
