Removing Office 2004 and Installing MSO2004 StudentTeacher

My new computer ( running Leopard 10.5.1) has Office 2004 Test Drive, which I
am sure I have not used. When I go to Remove Office the remove screen does
not show any check boxes for me to select to remove the test drive. Why
aren't they showing up? Can I just trash the entire Office folder to the
trash? Will this remove the test drive after I empty the trash? Or is there
something I am not clicking on to have the check boxes appear?

I have Microsoft Office 2004 Student and Teacher addition, to install. To
make sure the test drive is removed do I need to use the CD from the Office
2004? If I use the CD, would I drag Office to my hard drive instead of using
the set up assistant?

Next Question: When I install MSO 2004 do I need to download all the updates
and install each one up to version 11.3.7 or something rather than just
using the lastest update? I am not sure at this time if I want to upgrade to
2008 as of yet.

Please advise

If you're absolutely sure you've NEVER run Test Drive, then trashing the
Test Drive folder and emptying the trash is sufficient.

If you HAVE run Test Drive, even once, use the Remove Office application
(in the Microsoft OFfice 2004:Additional Tools folder) from the CD.

You can either use the Microsoft AutoUpdate application (which works
great for most users), or you can manually download the updates starting
at update 11.3.5 (which combines all previous updates) and apply them,
in order, manually.

Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.5 Update (this is a combo updater)

Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.6 Update (requires that 11.3.5 be
installed)

Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.7 Update (requires that 11.3.6 be
installed)

Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.8 Update (requires that 11.3.7 be
installed)

Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.9 Update (requires that 11.3.8 be
installed)

The new Mactopia downloads page makes it hard to find all of the updates.
Clicking on Newest links gets you nothing. Under the section to Browse for
downloads, the new orange text is very hard to read....at least, it is for
me. You can find all links here.

Yeah, it's definitely harder to use than the previous version

Hmmm... for me it puts the description and download links of the item
clicked in the Details section...

I don't find it all that difficult, but one may find it easier to read
if one zooms in a bit (in Safari, CMD-SHIFT-= once or twice)

My error, I didn't realize when I went to the google group that it posted to
the same communication thread. Many apologies.
