Removing Office Components

When installing Office 2000 I checked what I wanted to install and
when it was done, it had installed everything. Didn't want Access,
Powerpoint or Outlook Express. Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks.

Reinsert the install disk, and check "off" Access and PowerPoint and
follow the instructions.

Outlook Express is not part of Office. See the Control Panel applet for
installing software. Pick the Windows componenets and uncheck Outlook
Express. I don't think it will actually remove very much, but the icons
will disappear so it will "appear" to be uninstalled. OE is sort of
built into the operating system. It's the way it is.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

First off, Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer, not Office. It
is installed with Windows and cannot be uninstalled; but can be hidden.
(You may be referring to Microsoft Outlook.)

You can easily make changes. Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs,
Microsoft Office, Change. Check what you want, and uncheck what you
don't. Make sure that if you uncheck any part of a program, PowerPoint,
for example, you select do not install. If you don't Office will have to
at least install the basic program. Make sure you have the Office CD
inserted.
