Removing Office Welcome Tour

B

Brad

Just hours ago, I powered on a new computer running XP Pro. I promptly and
apparently successfully uninstalled Office Trial and Office One Note. As far
as I can tell, only one items remains: "Microsoft Office 2003 Edition 60 Days
Trial Welcome Tour", which appears on the Desktop. There's nothing in
Add/Remove programs to remove this item.

The right-click > Properties of this item shows a path:
C:\WINDOWS\Installer\welcomeTour.exe

A search on the whole C drive does not show either the directory Installer
or the file welcomeTour.exe.

I set my file view (Tools > Folder Options > View tab) to show hidden files
and folders.

In Windows Explorer I can see a bunch of previously hidden stuff, but
nothing for Installer\welcomeTour.exe.

I repeated the search from the root of C drive for both folder and file:
RESULT NOTHING.

I can double-click the darned icon on the Desktop, and it RUNS, so it's
definately there.

I went to the command window, but could not navigate to \Installer after
navigating to C:\WINDOWS.

Please, how do I permanently and completely remove this Office Welcome
Tour???

And, how may I ensure that every last bit of Microsoft Office 2003 from my
PC, please, please, please????

Thank you.
