Removing or altering recurrent appointments

Recurrent appointments in my calendar (which has been upgraded from 2003) do
not allow me to change or remove them.

It seems I can work with all other appointments, and even recurrent
appointments that I have made since installing office 2007.

I am trying to alter the time of recurrent appointments, as I previously
said, in my "old" appointments. The error that I receive is that the changes
cannot be saved because I do not have "permission".

Assistance will be appreciated.
