Removing Public Documents

Are there any ramifications of removing the Public Documents Site?

We already have an overall WSS Site for public documents (independent of
Project Server). I'd like to remove the Projet Server Public Documents Site
to prevent confusion among the users, but am wondering if this will cause any
other problems.

This will cause the links that reference the public docments site to break. Duh! Sorry be so blase but that's it. Honestly, it took me some time to figure out if there were any links to it and then I remembered these 2 places.

One is on the left navigation pane when you are viewing the projects list after you've selected the main documents link from the top nav bar.

The other one is in the list of projects itself on that same page - under a heading of "Public". There are also "My Projects" and "Other Projects" headings in that same list. If you collapse all the headings it may be easier to see if you've got a lot of projects published. Hope that helps.
