He, he, what is called the record selectors in the properties, refers
to the "buttons" on the left, where you can save/select a record.

Set the "navigation buttons" property of the form to no.

It sounds like you're referring to the record navigation control, not the
record selector. In the property sheet, for the form itself, set Navigation
Buttons to No. The Record Selectors property refers to the small grey
rectangle at the left of each detail row; it shows a triangle for the
current record, it can be clicked on to select the entire record, and it
shows two dots and a pencil icon when the record is dirty. You can also
control whether or not it is shown, via the record Selectors property.

Take a look at the NavigationButtons property.

The Record Selector is on the left side of a form, not the bottom of the
form. You might be asking about Navigation Buttons instead? In any case,
there are form properties available so that you can decide whether or not to
display record selector and/or navigation buttons. (You won't be able to turn
off record selectors for a form in datasheet view).

Open the form in design view. Press the F4 button (or click on View >
Properties) to display the Properties dialog, if it is not already displayed.
Select the Format tab. Make sure that you see the word "Form" in the blue
title bar of the Properties dialog. If you do not, click on the small black
square in the upper left corner, where the rulers meet. You should find the
visible properties for record selector and navigation buttons on the Format
tab.
