Removing resource from Project does not remove from SharePoint

I removed a resource from a project but it still keeps showing the resource
as part of the SharePoint site as a Team Member. Do I need to remove the
resource from the SharePoint site manually?

Try this or have your admin person try it....

Go to "Admin", then "Manage Windows Sharepoint Service Sites",
Select the Project, then click the 'Synchronize' option on the light blue
menu bar above the project list.

It's the only way I know to do it.

Thanks for your quick response!

I tried that and the resource did not get removed from the SharePoint site.
Interesting...

Have you tried to manullay remove the resource?

Inside the actual WSS workspace for your project,

Select Site Settings then Manage Users
Find the name of the t eam member you want to remove then select the
check box by their name
Then select Remove Selected Users

Good luck

I tried that. But the user was added back up after synchronizing the site
with MS Project: MS Project kept assuming that this person was still part of
that project and every time I synchronized, it added her back up to the site.

I went ahead and completely removed the resource from MS Project and added
her back up. That took care of this issue. This was a new resource, so it
wasn't a big deal for now, but it will be when we have resources that have
been part of projects for awhile :(

Thanks!
