Removing Security from Multiple DB

I started setting up security for one database (following Joan Wild's
instructions). In the middle of the process (around step 15) the Access
program wouldn't install the security wizard because I did not have
"administrator" rights to the computer. that was corrected but in the wizard
installation a component was missing/not available PRO.MSI so the
installation was cancelled and security was not completely set up.

Now, every existing database I open asks for the login & password I created
in the process...these other databases are on a shared drive and security
needs to be removed from them for others to access. What do I do until the
issue is resolved with the wizard installation???

You are being asked for a username/pwd because your computer is joined by default to a workgroup file that has a password set for the 'Admin' user.

Open Access and go to Tools, Security, Workgroup Administrator - this will tell you the mdw file set as the default. Click on join and rejoin the system.mdw that ships with Access (you may want to search for all *.mdw files beforehand so you know its location - be sure to search hidden and system folders).

Once you join this mdw file, you won't get the login prompt.
