Removing SP3

Okay I have looked all over the KB site for ways to
rollback to SR-1a and have found nothing, does anyone
have any suggestions for how to get the SP3 out of office
without having to uninstall office?

Hi, Moose. According to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=832671 "Description of Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 3", SP3 cannot be removed after it is installed. To revert to an installation before the update was installed, you must remove Office XP, and then install it again from the original CD-ROM.

That is ridiculous that a product cannot be removed.
Wouldn't you know that this would be the case with a
service pack.

Most service packs, hot fixes, updates, etc. are non-removable, if you would
care to look. A few are removable if you check the appropriate option at the
time of installation, otherwise your hard drive over time will quickly fill
up with two, three, four versions of files that you would never use.
