Removing task from task sheet Project 2007

What is the best way as a PM to close a task so that users do not see those
tasks on their task sheet. I've marked the task 100% complete, but it still
shows up for them. I don't want to remove the resource, as they have logged
actuals to the task.

Ideas?

Mike:

You can have the project manager set the Publish value for the task to no,
and then publish the project. The tasks will scroll off the "Current tasks"
view at the number of days you set in for current tasks in administration.
You can also solve this problem using one of our new web parts:
