This issue occurs when you install Office X by using the Microsoft Office
Installer . It does not occur if you use the drag-and-drop method of
installation. The installer cannot overwrite certain files in the Microsoft
Office X folder on your hard disk if Office v. X Test Drive is already
installed.
If you cannot locate the Test Drive Remove program, follow these steps to
remove Office v. X Test Drive: Insert the Microsoft Office X CD-ROM into
your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Open the Value Pack folder, and then open the
Remove Office folder. Run the Remove Office program. For more information
about using the Remove Office program, see the Remove Office Read Me in the
Remove Office folder. After you open the Remove Office tool, follow the
instructions on the screen and select all the items to be removed. After the
Remove Office tool finishes running, click Empty Trash on the Finder menu to
complete the removal process.
