Removing the Auto Genrated Line

Steve

Hi
Using Word 2000 and I'm having a problem with the auto generated lines. I try and delete them and they just move up one line. I've even tried to select a couple of text lines above and below the line and delete the whole section but the line just moves up to what text exists. Is there a way to find out where the anchor for this line is so I can delete it?

Thanks
