Removing the Shortcut Bar

David Rose

The reverse of a recent posting. I have the bar in Office XP Professional
and want to get rid of it permanently. I can 'exit' it , but it bounces back
next time I reboot.

Help, please.

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Select Microsoft Office and click on
Change/Remove and then select Add or remove features. In the Tools section,
change the Shortcut bar to Not Available.

Don,

Many thanks. I had got as far as the last step in your answer, had seen the
red 'X' with the "Not Available" comment and had assumed I could do nothing
with it. Stupid me!
