Removing unused fonts from Office apps menus?

Hello,

Is it possible to remove the fonts that I don¹t use regularly from the menu
of Office 2008 applications? I know that some fonts are essential to running
the programs and I don¹t want to necessarily disable/delete the fonts but
just not have them displayed on the font menu its a bit of a pain to
scroll through so many fonts that I don¹t use to get to my favorite ones.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Amit -

Yes, you can sift through & remove fonts you don't use. There is reference
material available to make you aware of which ones should not be removed &
plenty of resources available to provide information on the task.

However, in less than 1/10 the time it would take to round it all up - some
are required by Office, some by the OS, some by other apps... - you could
round up your favorites as Libraries/Collections using the Font Book App
supplied by OS X & simply drag 'n' drop to group your favorites for
immediate access right at the top of the font list. And without risk or
deprivation to you or your system. Look it up in OS X Help.
