Removing US Spell Checking, Office XP

Sean

Hi,

I have a problem that i just can't seem to fix. I want word to check only in
the English (Australian) language. Word however checks in both Aus and US,
ie if i type organize or organise it tells me both are correct. I've read a
few threads on this but still can't fix it. I've tried the following:

-Setting the language in regional and language options to english (aus) AND
trying the keyboard setting to UK instead of US.

-If i select the spell checking in word is says the language is
english(aus), if i go tools>langauge>set language then above the double line
both the AUS and US dictionary appears, but i don't know if this means
anything or is just a way of selecting a language once typing. If i double
click on english (Aus) nothing changes. Is there a way of removing the US
language from this list ?

-in the lowest task pane it indicates the language is english (aus)

This problem is infuriating, i've tried everything, but just can't get rid
of the US language checking, can anyone help ?

Thanx !

Sean

As far as i can tell i've done everything correctly, is it normal when in
word and selecting tools>language>set language for both english (aus and
english (us) to appear above the line ? does this mean the document is being
checked against both languages ? if this is the case how do i remove the US
dictionary ?

Hi Sean,

First you need to select your document and set the language under
Tools/Language/Set language and make sure the language is set
correctly.

Second, to remove a language go to Start/Programs/Microsoft
Office/Microsoft Office Tools/Microsoft Office Language Settings
(exact location may vary) and remove the languages you do not wish to
use.
