I have a multiple section document with different odd/even
footers. My template had a watermark on it which i want
to remove in the actual document.

I have tried removing the watermark using
Format>Background>Printed Watermark>No Watermark, but it
only deletes the background on even pages!

I am using Word2002 SP2.

Please can anyone suggest anything!

Word 2002 makes it very easy to insert a watermark, but, because it has done
all the work for you, you have no idea how it was done, which makes it more
difficult to remove the watermark. What Word has done is exactly what the
user had to do manually in earlier versions of Word: anchor a Behind Text
graphic to the header paragraph.

Since you have selected "Different odd and even," you now have the same
graphic anchored separately to the Odd Page Header and Even Page Header. My
guess is that you were on an even page when you selected No Watermark, and
that if you did the same thing while on an odd page, that would remove the
odd one. But you can also do this manually by just viewing the Odd Page
Header, clicking on the graphic, and deleting it.
