Rename inserted objects from the ui

Hi to everyone,

I've looked for a possibility to rename (well, better name, as the default
names for objects are simple enumerations) an inserted object such as a
textbox for example. I searched for a name field, like the one you have in
Excel to rename a textbox after inserting but couldn't find one. Nor could
I find a commandbar that displays such a field.

I've come to the conclusion that you can't rename those objects from the
user interface, could somebody maybe confirm this so I can stop looking for
something that simply does not exist?

Thanks very much in advance
Greetings from Germany

No, you cannot name text boxes, maybe through programming. Ed will let you know.
Complex documents are best created in Word.

What a pity, makes things a little more complicated, but such is life...:)
maybe through programming.

Yes, that's what I found out already.

Well, I didn't think about creating documents, more about 'scripting'
publications...

Thanks for your help

Susanne
