renameing columns at top of the page

Can I rename the columns in a spread sheet? For example
can "A" at the top of the page be named "Product" so
that there are word labels instead of letters across the
top of the page? Never used excel before and I don't
appear to be asking the right question to find the answer
in "help"

You can have a header row (p.e. row1) and freeze it (select A2 an then
Windows.FreezePanes)
