Bob Smith
We have a problem when we rename a user Outlook 2003 still shows the old ID
when you resolve in the 'To' field. When you delete the cached entry it comes
back when you start typing the name again.
Example:
Old UserID - bsmith
Old Display Name - Smith, Bob
Renamed UserID - bjones
Renamed Display Name - Jones, Bob
Entry that shows up when searching in the to field - Jones, Bob <bsmith>
From the looks of it the ID is what is refered to as the LegacyExchangeDN
attribute. If I change attrib using ADSI edit the problem goes away and the
correct user ID is shown when searching. Why does microsoft not change this
as part of the rename I can't find out. Does anyone know if we should be
manually changing this attribute?
