Renaming columns

As a newcomer to Excel, I can't find a way to change the column names from
A,B,C... to more meaningful names.
How do you do it ?

You cannot change these. Place meaningful names/titles in Row 1 then select
A2 and Window>Freeze Panes to keep row 1 in sight at all times.
