renaming fields

Hello All,

I would live to know if it is possible to rename the default fields
available in Project server (and of course in project pro).
As an example: "Baseline Budget Cost" might not be very straight forward to
understand. Therefore renaming such fields might prove to be very useful.

Nope, this is not possible. Therefore, I recommend that you master the
names of most (if not all) of the default fields in the system, and
thoroughly understand their purpose and best uses. And then teach your PMs
the same thing. Hope this helps.

In project pro, you can set a title for each built-in field for display
purposes, however you cannont set this for everyone's copy of Pro. Rather,
each person can set their own. In Project Server, your workaround is to
create a custom field by the name you want using a simple formula to
reference the actual field. Note that there are some fields that you cannot
reference by formula.
