Hi,
it seems that when you rename or move a folder in outlook, the old position
remains an alias for the folder in the "publish to" list and for opening it
using outlook:URL syntax.
We think that this feature could be cleverly exploited for
internationalization of an application that wants to show folders it created
in the local language, but refer to them internally using standard names.
The question is: is this functionality intended for this kind of use? Is it
actually a feature or more of a bug? Was it there in older versions (than
2003) and will it be there in the next? Is it documented somewhere? Has
anybody experience using it?
In addition to the URL syntax, can the aliases be used for access via COM/VBA?
