Renaming macros

T

Tonya Marshall

I wanted to rename a macro and looked in Word help and this is what it said:

Rename macros
1.On the Tools menu, click Templates and Add-Ins.
2.Click Organizer.
3.Click the Macro Project Items tab.
4.In the In box on the left, click the entry you want to rename,
and then click Rename.
5.In the Rename dialog box, type a new name for the entry.
6.Click OK, and then click Close.

All there is in the organizer is NewMacros. No way to rename individual
macros that I can see.

Hi Tonya,

From the Tools menu, select Macro, then macros, select the macro that you
want to rename and then click on Edit which will open the visual basic
editor with that macro in it. Then just edit the name in the Sub
macroname()

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
