Hello all,
Does anyone know how to get Word (both 97 and 2000 do the
same thing) to warn you if you are going to rename a read-
only folder in an Open or Save Dialog box? If you rename
a read-only file in a dialog box it comes up with a
warning, but not on a folder. If you are in Windows
Explorer and try to rename the folder, it will warn you
then as well. I work in an office of around 50 people,
and some people don't realize when they are changing the
name of a folder.
We are using a Novell Network and the Operating System
doesn't seem to make a difference because it's the same
for Windows 98/NT/2000. Also, WordPerfect (not a fan)
gives a warning whether it is a file or a folder.
