renewing 'product id'

Does anyone know how to re-register the Office X product ID without
destroying the installation, preferences etc? We have 4 legal copies
between the 4 of us but seem to have installed one copy twice - this
is now a nuisance whenever my daughter is home as it complains about
another on the network. There seems no 'change registration' function
- is there a file I can delete, if so which one? Thanks.
