JLAR
(Working in Word 2007).
I've created numerous illustrations in a document, and after inserting and
selecting each image I used Right-click > Insert Caption. So far, so good.
After I reorganized the document, based on information found in (old) MVP
posts, I selected all (Ctrl+A) and pressed F9 in the hope of updating all
fields, including the "SEQ Figure..." fields created by Insert Caption
feature.
Contrary to expectation, although Ctrl+A did in fact highlight all the
captions' fields, they were not renumbered.
WORKAROUND: (Totally unsatisfactory) Manually select the caption number of
each and every figure that was relocated, and press F9.
Questions:
1) Is there a way to make this work as expected?
2) If not through the GUI, how can this be done using a macro?
Thank you.
