Renumbering with Styles

I want to create a test in MS Word. The Question/Answer pattern is

1) Question

a) answer choice
b) answer choice
c) answer choice
d)answer choice

2) Question

a) answer choice
......

What I get, using styles, is

1) Question

a) answer choice
b) answer choice
c) answer choice
d)answer choice

2) Question

e) answer choice
....


You get the idea... suggestions? I want to use styles only. No forced renumbering.

You need to set up an outline numbered list as described at
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html. Note that
the first outline numbering format offered in the Bullets and Numbering
dialog is already formatted the way you want: all you have to do is link the
levels to styles.
