Reoccuring Meeting Reminder after meeting deleted.

Greetings from Canberra, Australia;

I use Outlook 2007 fully patched with WINXP Tablet Edition SP2 in
normal POP/SMTP mail installation and also have RIM Blackberry Deskto
V5.0 to sync my calendar and contacts - and have had NO really majo
issues, as a mediumly skilled user for the last three years, until thi
past weekend.

Now the gremilins have hit me bigtime.

What I get is a recurring meeting reminder for the current in a serie
of fortnightly billing actions, every time I start up Outlook. Troubl
is I deleted the series last week and re scheduled it for a new day.

So the Outlook reminder is for a meeting that is not in the Calendar o
my tablet PC or my Blackberry. A dialogue box appears after the reminde
is dismissed saying "Blah Blah - the meeting is mssing from the calenda
and so may appear again - blah blah".

I have used the Outlook command line switch / clearreminders as pe
the KB but this does not seem to work in my case.

Can any one pick what process I might have got wrong so that I ca
avoid this happening again?

Can any one suggest another way to remediate this bug?

I use meeting reminders, tasks and progress reports every minute o
every day and DO NOT want to have a series of phantom reminder
affecting my Outlook Productivity.

The only option I can see to go forward is to rebuild my calendar fil
in a test environment and see if the bug goes away.

I am hoping that some of the MVP community have come across thi
before

Hi all, I did a bit more research overnight from a different view
using the View/Arrange By/Current View/Recurring Appointments an
behold! The deleted billing appointment was in the list. So I delete
that and all is good.:D

Something that really annoys me with Outlook is the inconsistent dat
presentation across the view layers.

Any way back to learnigngmore about task management and delegations th
Outlook 2003.. PDP

In researching my dilemma, I noted a fair slab of ill informe
suggestion regarding the Blackberry Desktop Manager Software that drive
the sync between Outlook and the BB device. I use V5.0 with Outlook 200
and XP Tablet Edition

Please note that the Blackberry Desktop Manager Software V5.0 does NO
take an active role in determining what period of the calendar i
synced. The only role this software takes is to select what slice o
data is synced - Calendar, memo pad, address book and task AND how t
resolve conflicts and I believe this is always best set to Outlook WINS

Dont lay blame on the software when most often the user is the fault
