I am noticing some wierd issues with calendar 2003. I have included differnet
tests that I have done. We are using 2003 server sp1 with exchange 2003 sp2
and the client is outlook 2003 sp2. We are using autoaccept agent on the
resource rooms.
This is just boggling my mind why it works for some meetings and not all.
What I am wondering is why doesn't calendar remove the meeting out of a room
when it is a single meeting and changing the room that you will be using to
another room. This only happens if you change a single instance in a
reoccuring meeting.
Case 1 – schedule a meeting in room A . Save. Open again, delete Room A, add
room B. Both rooms have a reservation.
Case 2 – schedule a recurring meeting in room A. Save. Open again, delete
Room A from the series, add Room B.
Both rooms carry the recurrning reservation (a bad case! can result in many
future orphaned room reservations!)
Case 3 – schedule a recurring meeting in room A. Save. Open one occurrence
of the recurring reservation.
Change the room in one occurrence. Room A’s reservation for that occurrence
is gone!! It works in this case!
