Reorder folders displayed

Is it possible to reorder the way folders are displayed - They appear in a
random order, but I'd like to get them alphabetically and then reorder them
some other way some time later
TIA

You have to manually change the order by right-clicking on the section/folder
tab and selecting "Move" from the context menu.

I love ON but this cumbersome, albeit minor, procedure generates a little
frustration for me.

Can someone from the ON development team help us end users understand why at
least drag-n-drop of tabs wasn't implemented for v.1?

I'm hoping and praying for automated sorting of tabs (perhaps via
right-clicking any tab) in v.2

:)

John,

I can't answer for the OneNote team but in answering similar "Why
didn't Feature X make it into version 1.0?" questions the answer has
tended to be to the effect that other features/aspects took priority
in the available timescale.

I found it worth reordering my folders and sections quite early on and
since then I add sections and folders in the correct alphabetical
position. Not ideal, but it does achieve some order among the folders
and sections.
