Hi,
I am wondering if there is a "tip" or "technique" I can offer my operators
who say that reordering numbered paragraphs poses a problem: the scenario is
when they are given a hard copy of a document, and that hard copy has edits
which require the reordering of numbered paragraphs.
Once the first paragraph has been moved, all the other paragraphs are, of
course, automatically renumbered. When this happens, the numbers in the
document on the computer no longer match those on the hard copy, making it
more difficult to find and move the rest of the paragraphs.
I was going to suggest moving only the text of the paragraphs, and leaving
the numbers where they are, until all the moves have been made.
I hope I have explained this clearly . . . anyway, are there any "tips" for
doing this?
Thanks,
Rosemary
