Reource Plan Synchronization

Does anyone know if you can create a Resource Plan to an exsisting project
plan within the Project Server 2007 environment? I alread have resources
assigned, and there is actual work in the plan already. this plan should
have been set up as an Activity Plan but wasn't and now we don't want to lose
the data.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can do this directly from the project centre. Highlight the project
that you want to create the resource plan for and then click on the resource
plan icon.

Ben, I already did this, however (and maybe I don't understand fully the
actions) I thought I would then be able to go into Resource Center and see
the results of my Resource Plan settings, not the orignal planned work from
the project. I did select use the Resource Plan option. I also thought that
even though I had already built out my team, that I would do a Build Team
from Project Center and I then did a Synchronize within that window/area.
Again, my expectation was that within Resource Center View Availability, I
thought I would see the results. I am not.
Thanks for helping with this

Ben, I did use the radio button" calculate Resrouces from". I have done this
before with brand new plans, but never an exsisting project plan. that is my
question, can you attach a Resoruce plan to an exsisting Project plan (not
activity plan, nor a proposal) that has already been published and has some
actual work that came from timesheets??
Thanks for any insight you can provide
